Quality & traceability

THE RECORD BEHIND THE WORK.

Our proprietary Order Management System keeps the details connected, so there is a clear history behind what we fabricate.

THE TC ORDER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

BUILT BY TC.
FOR THE WAY
TC WORKS.

Quality depends on both the work and the information behind it. TC Steel developed its own Order Management System—OMS—to manage project information and quality documentation through the life of an order.

It reflects our team’s commitment to doing careful work and being able to account for it. From material identification to drawing revisions and shipment records, traceability is part of the process.

CONNECTED THROUGH THE ORDER

FROM REQUIREMENTS
TO RECORDS.

01

ORDER & REQUIREMENTS

Order information brings the scope, component requirements and project documentation into a common management process.

02

MATERIAL RECORDS

Steel received at our plant must have its accompanying Material Test Report and appropriate documentation. Identification is maintained through handling and production.

03

DRAWINGS & REVISIONS

Drawing production, standards and revisions are managed within the OMS. Client-specific drawing standards and revisions are retained in supporting databases.

04

WORK ORDERS & PRODUCTION

Work orders and labour tracking connect the fabrication process to the order being produced.

05

SHIPMENTS & RECORDS

Shipment information and billing remain connected to the project record, supporting a documented history of the order.

06

FOLLOW-THROUGH

When a question arises, a thorough record supports review of the materials, drawings and work associated with the order.
